Akrothesim/Septuagint - Sphinx- The Great Enigma of Times

As we can witness and clearly see the uprising era through the as they call it, This sub-genre the Orthodox Black Metal and others call it Occult Black Metal and in general (to me) is what truly black metal stands for, The true underground arts, The left-handed path, These Devil-worshipers who devote their passion and commitment to the Coven and to complete the unfinished and the unholy work of the ones who left the path for another purposes, But yet and still those who raise the name of the lord among the existence and who burns the center of the god and set it on flames and turned it to ashes.
These covens gathered themselves and unite their strength to an unholy one and hailing from Greece circling the pyres with a ritualistic sacrifice under the burning tongue of the Dragon by drinking from the sacred chalice, like a burning stars in the darkness above and below, And to mention a few such as Serpent Noir, Acherontas, Devathhorn, Thy Darkened Shade, Acrimonious, Akrothesim, Septuagint.. etc.

And in between all these heroic releases that have been thrown out of this boiled volcano on this year's best releases and which it has a huge impact on the scene as well, Such as the Magical Full-length (Ma Ion - Formulas of Reptilian Unification) by Acherontas and the Venomous Release of Devathorn (Vritra) and not to forget the very respected release among all the false, The Draconian Collaboration from the core of Draconian Brotherhood (Erotomysticism) By Serpent Noir, And What comes after all these spectacular sacred pieces is a split that gathered two of those beasts who ascends from the darkest corners of this rusty world to strike with "Sphinx- The Great Enigma of Times".

"Sphinx- The Great Enigma of Times" is an Opus that will take you deep into the depths of your consciousness to transfer it to a wicked nightmare surrounded by heavy tunes that will rip your ears up, These two bands "Akrothesim and Septuagint" walked into the path with no turning back both lyrically themed the Orthodox Satanism and Occultism, offers three tracks fueled by fire, ambiguity and chaotic spiritualism.

Akrothesim started their journey in the year of 2012 and they released their first split along side with Order of the Ebon Hand entitled as "Behold the Sign of a New Era / Generation of Vipers" and after almost a year they strike back and released their first full-length album via Odium Records entitled as "Behold the Son of Plagues".

While Septuagint were on the path for bit longer than Akrothesim, They released their first and only Ep in 2014 via Forever Plagued Records entitled as "Negative Void Trinity", They are also known as "Declaration:Holocaust" back in 2006 to 2011 and they only released one Promo back in 2010 and after that they changed their name to Septuagint and according to the encyclopedia metallum "The Metal Archives" that The Septuagint is a translation of the Hebrew Bible and some related texts into Koine Greek

The opening track "Syn Panti (The Great Enigma)" performed by Akrothesim and the opus begins with a frightening drum percussion following with a guitar rhythm that will take you to a trip full of horrors showing the unmerciful aspects of the underworld and all its hidden secrets,
With the whispering hymns of Aeon by introducing the essence of this work, and to be

more clear to open other dimensions to get you more in the mood of swallowing the self to the unknown, where everything is dark and mysterious, Wrathful blast beats and fast to mid tempo not to forget the chaotic riffs that creates the full picture of the song and all the terror that it reveals,

And out of the fog they strike with Tertium Datur a 14:20 piece filled with spiritual,
atmospheric yet hellish sound with some ritual ambient influences on some parts and in between the lines through the underground tunes,
 A guitar riffs that blows like horns when the black horizon ascent and when the distraction wreck down the planet which in a musical aspect that sets the flames inside of the listener and to enter to the level of what is even beyond, where Aeon tormented his soul with devotion and standing on the edge of  his inner self and challenging the gods where death will represent the victory of men.

And with a blowing winds and the storm sound and out of the trampling black sea when darkness devours the last spot of light the shapeshifters combatants illuminated out of nothing embracing the dead and their name is Septuagint and with the third and the last track on this Split they blow their horns with "Shadows Of Opposition" it kicks off with a slow to mid rhythms following a mid kind of oriental tempo on drums changing to fast blast beats with more chaotic aspects and the sound becomes even darker to overcast the atmosphere and between 5:26 to 7:48 almost two minutes of a pure ritual ambient sound are like when a coven practice of magic to invoke the evil spirits to conquer the world and turn it into an emptiness void while the listener feels like tripping on ayahuasca during this part of the song and without warning the track blows again on a slow malevolent vibe filed on high quality on the sound and with more knowledge, when the vocals continue unleashing himself to an unstoppable beast in a wrathful grimness letting the world burn on fire.

Well, I can confess and clearly notice that there's a much better quality and profession throughout these three tracks that shows a progress and improved the sound on these two bands (lyrically and musically) more than the previous work though (in my opinion) and not to forget that the man behind mastering this piece is the man behind mixing and mastering couple of Acheronats albums and the owner of Sitra Ahra Studio Semjaza and the man behind Thy Darkened Shade.

This split is recommended for those creatures who dig deep down for the true underground arts of the orthodox black metal for fans who is more into the occult aspects and bands such as Acherontas, Devathorn and Dødsengel, The 135.

Death Ritual - Fractal Revenge

As my research still going on the underground scene of Turkish black metallers and especially those barbarous ones from Kadikoy/Shitstanbul and their insanely way of living the black metal lifestyle by destroying the future and erasing the past and only focusing on making a music full of hatred, violence and brutality,
Once again after a long period of researches, I've been digging all this time deep down into the roots of this abomination hell when you can find the frightfulness terror and the gloomy darkness,
"Death Ritual" has arisen from the vacuum of nothingness spreading the voices of hate and cursing the life in the name of Satan.

Death Ritual revival the spirit of the 90's and made a rebirth of the 2nd wave of the black metal sound again, A band comes back from the dead, From the rotting corpses it arise and submit the devil worshiping and digging the satanic-crosses on their foreheads has activated it self back in 2003 and it has unleashed its first full dubt Ep back in November 2008 right after "Death Ritual" (the first Demo) and with "Fractal Revenge" it gave a birth to an ancient demon.

Fractal Revenge brings four dark atmospheric tracks has recorded and created by one-man black metal band project and his name is V.

The recording is kinda rusty pure blackish and cold to freezing and it recorded at Necromanteion studio, Netherlands and the Mcd was limited to only 500 copies, His voice gives the sound of a true Satanic warrior that is roaring to destroy the humanity to a parts, the rhythms is fast but in the nowadays it's old and it returns back to the 2nd wave from the 90's but still quite good as you know as always has been told .. old is cold, the drumming is recital and thunderbolt, kind of blasting also (Aberrant joined V. on the drums as a session drummer, And to mention that Aberrant is a demoniacal war machine also he play with such bands like Deggial and Diabolizer, Engulfed and Impuration), Lyrically it is pure Satanism, End of life without any mercy, And about the artwork it amazed me actually with the details from the eye to the twister and mysterious whirlpool.

For those of you maniacs who is into old Darkthrone and katharsis, S.V.E.S.T. and Deathspell Omega and the underground rotten scene then you should go and dig up this great piece of one-man band project and give it a ritual session in the darkness.

Hellsodomy - Masochistic Molestation

Thrash metal is raw and fast, Death metal is brutal and gore, Black metal is evil and hellish, But "Hellsodomy" is a compilation combines between all these extreme genres to develop it into one and creating a war machine by showing the underground scene of how the anti-Islamic way of blasphemous black metal stabs the hearts of the religious cunts and begins of what "hellsodomy" call it in one hell of a track the sodomy and bloodshed!.

From the depths of Kadikoy streets "Hellsodomy" released their first demo "Masochistic Molestation" in April this year through the Danish label "Deadbangers" but they recorded it in a pretty good studio (but the quality sounds a bit low) in Kadikoy/Istanbul, it includes four fast and furious tracks in a cassette tape and it's limited to only 200 hand-numbered copies, Well, about the cover artwork actually it Interested me with the idea of (a beast with three hands demolishing a mosque and setting it on fire) in a Islamic country it needs a big courage but as i saw this artwork reflects the devilish sound of their raw music.

Press play and the volcano is going to erupt and it's going to throw all the flaming rocks into the listener, actually, it's a successful start with "Masochistic Molestation"  following with fast tempo strolling to mid in some parts, moreover, the blasting catching the tempo, The riffing is speed and heavy, and without forgetting the roaring voice of "Nekro Kasil" attacking the religion with his lyrics in a blasphemous way packed with wrath and hate saying: (Masochistic Molestation anti islam devastation), "Menstruation Blood on the Pentagram" comes to constant the conflict between the blasting and the solos through the demo for unleashing the beasts to strike the "sodomy and bloodshed" with a grin on their faces to end it up with a "Satanic bloodlust".

Bloody Vengeance - From the abyss

From the abyss another great album through the depth of "Iron Bonehead Productions" directly to the earth, They brings the satanic death touch straight into your souls to create an incredible vision of their way to deliver the blackened death/thrash style.

"Bloody Vengeance" is a Chilean beasts!.

They released their first full-length "From The Abyss" just after their 3rd demo "across acheron" in 2012 before almost two years ago from now, And with full force they strike and completely ready to rip your skin off!.

from the beginning it possess you and yes it gathers all the demons to surround you by their damn good tempo to start the explosion of the "black pest", extreme thrash riffs followed with the speed blackened death/thrash drums is a total holocaust for a satanic massacre, Claudio as known as "Skullcrusherhammer" gives you the luciferian torches through his powerful voice (and especially when he change his voice in a couple of songs to that kind of king diamond's bloody screams),
"Skullcrusherhammer" is the mastermind behind this project and he played also as a drummer with such bands like Hades Archer, Storm Dark, Batallion, but he made me more than satisfy and amazed me actually with rising his hellish voice straight into my ears, Bloody Vengeance's more than just a blackened death/thrash band, it's the hell it self.

Gravecrusher - Morbid Black Oath (EP)

The Hungarian Gravecrushers was founded back in "2012" deep through the hungarian filthy streets when the undead was rising and the screaming victims from the bloodshed of the innocent, with releasing their first Demo "Mutilation Ritual" following three deadly tracks, due the recording session with "Stygian Shadows Productions" and after two awaiting years with full force they joined the Spanish extreme record label "Xtreem Music" and they strike the "Morbid Black Oath" right after their first spilt ever with "Necrosodomy" back when this year started.

It's a hammer crashing it ways to create the old skool death style between the solos and the drums blasting through the brutal voice of "Revenger" to give you the ultimate morbid bloodshed full of horror tunes to an extreme riffs with a mid to fast tempo all in one without mercy,

First of all you'll hear the explosion blows and damages the atmosphere of the new era to brings you back to the roots of death with  "Triumph of the Undead" and to be honest this kind of starting is as raw as when i listen to "Grave" for example and that's what i'm looking for from the beginning!, The second volcano is "Necromantic Perversion" following kinda "slayer's riffs for a couple of seconds" and the haunting starts louder and fast as the hell's fire, Raw, Cleaver, Wicked, and it brings back the old days.
Well, be ready and prepare yourself for the holocaust and of course with no doubt it rises with a thrash/death riffs "Morbid Black Oath" and they nailed it and it seems this "EP" going more and more to an extremely brutal way, The Hungarian beasts showed no mercy in "Worship the Impaler" track, shocking me with a short solo in 1:50 to 2:12 and they end it up with a blasting drums that banging your head into the wall,
The members "Chaosprayer/Revenger/Mutilator/Disemboweler/Disguster" played it evil and bestial and they gives all the rights for their brutal sound of death straight to the listener and definitely it's fucking raw and dirty and fast!
and least but not last three bonus tracks has given, and it ends with "Cryptic Butchery" without recognizing that the Ep has finished too fast and totally pure!.

I highly recommended this EP for the maniacs who's more into "Old Skool Death Metal"!
